“Jump” was released by the American hard rock band Van Halen in 1983. The group was formed in 1972 in California and consisted of the Van Halen brothers, Eddie, guitarist, and Alex, drummer. The vocalist was David Lee Roth and the bassist Michael Anthony. In the following years after the release of “Jump” the band changed various vocalists: among the others Gary Cherone and Sammy Hagar.

“Jump” was the lead single from the album 1984 which was their most successful album in the band’s career, selling over 12 million copies.
