“Mamma Mia” is the opening track of ABBA’s third album, whose title was simply ABBA. Mamma mia is an expression borrowed from the Italian language. It’s frequently used by Italians to express surprise, fear or excitement and it has become popular also among native English speakers and all over the world.
The song was released in 1975 and in january 1976 it replaced “Queen’s Bohemian Rapsody at the first position in UK Single Chart.
